Abstract
The present case study analyzes the effectiveness of response cost token economies used in early intervention applied behavior analysis services in children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Using a response cost, the researcher looked to decrease challenging behaviors consisting of physical aggressions towards peers and adults, while increasing responsiveness to instructions or demands given to the participant. Data from the baseline phase and intervention phase was compared to test whether the intervention was successful.
