Description
Prometheus was the archrebel and archmartyr of Greek mythology. For his championing of humanity, Prometheus was nailed by Zeus to a mountainside where an eagle daily fed on his flesh. As a Titan Prometheus had immortality but no immunity to suffering. This is Aeschylus' powerful tale of force and violence pitted against compassion. November, 1970.
