The Carillon is the John Carroll University yearbook, and it was first released in 1938 after the students pushed to have the publication approved. In 1971 the Carillon was in danger of being discontinued because of budget cuts and a general dissatisfaction with recent issues. However, the yearbook was given a grace period and managed to survive.
